It's been quite a week for us all.

Baby I and I went to San Francisco with a friend and her son for a couple days. I have never left S so that was difficult and very weird, but with lots of pre-planning, a good husband and a Val it went totally smoothly. He seemed to have lots of fun and was just fine!! B had a good time while we were gone with extra activities and lots of guy time!
Baby I slept on the plane both ways which made for a very relaxing enjoyable stress free flight. We stayed at a very beautiful 102 year old hotel in Union Square, didn't feel like I fit in properly in such a posh hotel! Besides the rain rain each day we had a great time exploring around the town. On the day we arrived we did lots of wandering, some getting lost and confused but explored. We walked through parts of Chinatown and down under the Bay bridge and through stores I had only heard of in the news.

--Neiman Marcus-- the picture just doesn't do it justice but it is so amazing inside looking up.

There is some breathtaking architecture and very beautiful areas and also some very poor people.

We took some trips on the cable cars, enjoyed lunch at Fishermans Warf, saw the crookedest street from a distance(it was raining too hard to walk it), picked up some chocolate from Ghiradelli Square(per B's request), saw alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge through fog from a distance.

baby I did a fantastic job, she didn't nap, didn't eat per her typical schedule, sat in her stroller a lot but was soo well behaved. She had lots of fun playing in the hotel room and chatting with a cable car driver! She loved putting everything she could get her hands on into the safe

I find getting our tickets registered and all the security checks to be very stressful and intimidating and then re-packing everything up and putting my shoes, belt and such back on, getting the stroller opened up again and off we go to wait for the plane!! Just one interesting tid-bit to wonder about--after the stress of the security we went to get some snacks and in talking to the guy at the tiny cafe, he, apparently does not have to go through any security check when he comes to work even though he works past the "secure" area.....

i am very glad we went along, we did so much in just a couple days and had a great time.
